Bot Framework Composer 2.1.2, published by Microsoft Corporation, is an open-source visual authoring canvas that enables developers and cross-functional teams to design, test and deploy conversational applications without writing boilerplate code. Built on top of the Microsoft Bot Framework, the tool unifies Language Understanding models, QnA Maker knowledge bases, adaptive dialogs and multi-channel reply composition into a single drag-and-drop interface, making it possible to create everything from simple question-and-answer bots to complex enterprise assistants that switch contexts, call external APIs and maintain state across turns. Typical use cases range from customer-support chatbots on websites and Microsoft Teams help-desk agents to voice-enabled IVR systems and IoT device controllers; because the generated runtime is standard Bot Framework code, the same project can be published to Azure Bot Service, Slack, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, Teams or embedded in custom web and mobile clients with no additional engineering. Since its first release the application has evolved through thirteen public versions, each expanding language coverage, adding pre-built templates for common scenarios and tightening integration with Azure Cognitive Services. The current 2.1.2 build refines the LU and QnA visual editors, improves package dependency management and supports the latest Bot Framework SDK 4.x runtime, allowing teams to leverage contemporary features such as OAuth prompts, skill composition and adaptive cards while remaining compatible with earlier deployments. Bot Framework Composer is available for free on get.nero.com, with downloads provided via trusted Windows package sources (e.g. winget), always delivering the latest version, and supporting batch installation of multiple applications.
